1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Horizon Alliance ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Horizon Alliance is a joint project operated by 4D Consulting Kft (Hungary) and Elua Capital AB (Sweden).

2. Description of Service

Horizon Alliance provides AI-powered recommendations for Horizon Europe funding opportunities based on your business profile and description. The Service is provided under a collaborative development arrangement between the operating companies.

If you choose Google Sign-In, we use Google for authentication only and request the minimum scopes required for authentication (typically openid, email, and profile). We do not request restricted scopes unless required for a user-facing feature and only with your express consent.

3. Use of Your Data

We only require your first name, last name, and email address to create an account. Any organisation details you choose to provide describe your company rather than you as an individual and are used solely to generate accurate funding matches.

Horizon Alliance processes personal data as joint controllers under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our lawful bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) for operating the platform and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) for carefully targeted service communications. Personal data is stored securely within the EU/EEA on Supabase infrastructure and is accessible only to authorised personnel at 4D Consulting Kft and Elua Capital AB who require it to deliver the Service.

By using our Service, you grant us permission to:

• Use your business information and descriptions to provide personalized funding recommendations
• Analyze your data to improve our AI algorithms and Service quality
• Use aggregated and anonymized data for product development and research purposes
• Use your information for marketing purposes, including sending you relevant offers and updates (not derived from Google user data unless you separately consent)
• Contact you via email regarding Service updates, new features, and promotional materials

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or by contacting us directly.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about your business
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Use the Service only for legitimate business purposes
• Not attempt to circumvent or misuse our AI systems
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is jointly owned by 4D Consulting Kft and Elua Capital AB and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to provide accurate recommendations, we do not guarantee that any funding opportunities will result in successful applications or awards.

7. Limitation of Liability

4D Consulting Kft and Elua Capital AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. This Service is provided on an "as-is" basis under active development.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time via Dashboard → Profile → Delete My Account. Deletion removes your personal data from active systems; limited backup copies may persist for up to 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Google API Services Compliance

When you authenticate with Google, we comply with Google’s API Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Our use of Google user data is limited to user-facing purposes disclosed in our Privacy Policy and these Terms. We do not sell or transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide the Service, for security, or as required by law.

During Google authentication we only persist your name and email address. Other profile attributes returned by Google (such as avatar URLs or locale) are discarded immediately after sign-in and are never stored in our databases.

• We request only the narrowest scopes necessary for authentication (typically openid, email, profile)
• No human reading of Google user data except with your explicit consent, for security, to comply with law, or in aggregated/anonymized form
